Since this thread was started for the VE8 i will post here . LOOK what i got today . Cornolio I hope you dont mind me posting this here . I figured since you have a good thread about this car here . We could keep all the talk about the VE8 in one place . For those who have the VE8 what is there flightmax hard case lipoe that will fit ?.
BDEBDE
I read somewere up to 150mm i think . I know the thunderpower 4s 500- HC fits . But they are not as wide as the flightmax . I just measured the tray. I got the following 140mmx 49mm. But there is small bumps that can be fieled out to get a 50mm width pack. So depending how accurete the flightmaxx measurments are .
Here are the first pics.

No problem guys, I can't take any credit just plagiarized another site LOL
Sorry there was no listing for H/C lipos that fit. but if you stick in the dimensions listed (140mmx50mm) you should be good, use the handy lipo filter function for the # of cells you want and it will give you a nice list, just look thru for one that fits. Failing that have a look at the ve8 thread on RCTech someone probably lists one that fits. Good luck.
Im going the 6s with a 1400kv tekin and MMP myself it should be a really efficient setup and have great run times.

Hyperion 2950vx, 3300vx and 3300cx should work as well, especially if going 5s or 6s.

Somehow those look very familiar...
Did you guys figure out what the little tabs with 2 holes each on the back side of the rear hubs are for?

I was told they are for wheel scrapers, used in muddy conditions so dirt wont build up on inside of the wheel.

Thats exactly what those two holes on the RR knuckles are for . Here are the rest of the build pics for those that are interested . The tires are proline calibers, in m3 compound .

Guys after reading about the ve8 chassis breaking up Fr & looking at mine that i just built . I think i may have come up with a idea to help strengthen the FR end . This is the idea i came up with . I was thinking 2mm or 3mm aluminum would work fine. Right know it's just masking tape to show what it would look like . It would double as a brace & skid pad . As you can see it would cover the seem were the FR plate & chassis are connected . The black line is there just to show were the slight bend would be . I would like to know what everyone's thoughts are on my idea ?.

There have been at least 5 Ve8's at the local track, including mine; 4 of those 5 have all broke the rear skid, including mine, and never a single front. I got the aluminum skids for mine; much better than the plastic ones. But, your idea would certainly beef up the front end! IMO just get the aluminum upgrade ones when the plastic ones break.
