There are no FETs specifically for braking, so it just blew a FET.

I wonder which one you have; the 4108N version or the 4933 version. A little birdie mentioned something about the 4108N version having a slight issue with the traces and was redesigned in the newer versions. Did you take it apart to see where it blew? Mine blew the FETs/trace where the throttle/switch wires exit.

Since this is a 6s ESC, I think the idea is to run high V/low KV so currents are not high, so 13GA is plenty.
