Castle Visit - 10.15.2009, 09:59 PM

Just wanted to let everyone know that my visiting brother (from Maine) and I visited Castle Creations in Kansas today. I got to meet Patrick and many of his staff, and they were all extraordinarily nice. Patrick himself took a few minutes out of his busy schedule to provide us with a guided tour of his facility where we got to see the parts, assembly (those expensive machines are impressive to watch in action), testing, etc. Really cool stuff! I wanted very badly to covertly fill my pockets with a bunch of goodies but the presence of the armed and large guards convinced me otherwise (just kidding); besides that's no way to repay a gracious host.

Despite my brother's lack of understanding the "geek speak", he too thought everything was quite impressive.

Thanks again to Patrick and staff for allowing us to visit!

Cool! Wish I was close enough to check em out. I took a tour of a Phase linear (audio components) factory back when I was in school. Pretty cool to see how they put all the high tech stuff together.

Unfortunately no. By the time we got there, it was around 1:30, and it never crossed my mind anyway. Even without a pizza bribe, they were still very nice. Imagine how nice they would have been with pizza!

No camera. They destroyed it at the door.

So did you find those exciting new stuff like the 1717 motor, MMP, Hydra-ICE? or they just put those into drawers when heard you're coming?
