Controller to go with Feigao 10L? - 01.25.2006, 07:16 PM

Hello, I'm currently working on a brushless conversion for my Hyper 7 PBS buggy and I was using this article for reference: Click here for Article

I was planning on using the same motor and controller combo (Feigao 10L with Warrior 9918) but I can't seem to find the 9918s anywhere anymore. I figured the 9920 on RC-Monster now must be an updated version or something but those are sold out also. Is there another alternative that I could use? Or is there any other place where I might find a 9918 or 9920 controller?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. The 9920 & 9918 are the same controller . The only difference is BK did ttesing and foud the 9918 can acctually handle 20 cells. Thats the reason they changed the name to 9920. I also have a BL MBX 4 buggy. THE motor and controller choice's you made are good choice's. My buggy uses a 7XL with 9918 & 14 cells.

I have a Hyper 7 RTR that I converted not to long ago. The hardest thing I had do deal with is that I wanted to use a Ofna plastic 52t spur gear. RC-Monster (Mike) made an adapter to fit the plastic spur on to the diff for me. It works very well. I don't know what you have planned, but you might want to consider something like that too. Otherwise the the metal spur will eat up your pinions.

And the 9920 warriors should be back in stock next week. The 12020 controller is the upgrade to the 9920 controller and happens to be in stock if you are in a hurry(and want a little extra security). The 9920 can handle the task, though.
