IMHO, the 540 is not going to take down a 380 in a 1/10 buggy. 1/10 buggy is almost like 1/10 touring car, but for offroading. The 380 is lighter and spool up faster on 7.2 volts, but even a 6s would not give its full potential in a small buggy if it is not supported with enough rate of amps. My 1930/5 acts poorly at 7.2 and 8.4 volts since it drains a lot of amps.
