~8lbs... should be alright. By all accounts the esc runs cooler than the motor when abused/ used in a less than ideal setups- 3s & 2650kv is pretty common, though I would think you'd get more than 12 minutes?

yeah.
dude, my revo on 6s only pulls 70A bursts when you mash the throttle! (eagle tree data) and you know how much an average revo can weigh. (i dont pay attention to weight for racing much lol) you should be fine 
the porthole from the noob world an here has been opened!! that's how i got in. |

Yeah I should, but what I meant was that is about as long as I'd need/use as it'll be for racing - geared for ~ 42-43 mph with .5" tyre ballooning on Brian's calculator.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. |
