I think the basic xl motors put out more than the hv does. I think that would be a good motor for your setup.

I think the stock diffs would hold remix. I had a heavier maxx with stock diffs that held up well but not forever. 14.5 lbs of maxx 7xl and 18cells. had the aluminum diff cups though.
