Lipos for Flux

Well that's what I was thinking was that parallel those 5s would suffice. I was reading that the 30c was more reliable and proven actually while researching last nite. I just thought for a few extra bucks a higher constant, but this is excatly why I wanted to run it by you guys first.

Thanks for the link. I own the hyperion 0606i or whatever it is. The single lipo setup.I don't know how powerful this charger is off hand. I haven't even figured out if its capable of charging at a higher rate then 1A. That is a great price on that charger tho so I may get another.

So I think I should just stick to the 3s in the 30c and I think I can fit 5000mah in those. I will check it out.

One last thing. I was looking at castles black friday ad that is still going. I really think the 2200 with 6s is a bit fast and hot hence why I was considering the 5s in parallel which I have found on my mmm in the xt8 is better suited. I was considering getting one of those new castle motors on black friday sale once I saw the thread this morning. I like the size and low KV on the 1717 but don't know about the size. Would this motor be good for my flux to run 6s back to back. Lipo runs and stay cool and still be a bit fast?? Or should I get the 15 series right below it in kv?? Will I have fitment issues? Sorry for all my questions But I have always wanted a MONSTER Motor and this is a expensive purchase for me. Thanks for the suppurt guys.

OR you could just run 4S if your that worried about to much power and also get the castle link to tweak the MMM to your liking. You'd be surprised how fast the stock Flux will run with a good set of 4S, 40mph+ easily on mine with SMC's 6000mAh 28C Lipos 2S

I appreciate the suggestion but the 3s lipos will serve a dual purpose for running in my Blitz and sc10. I will also be converting to a true monster in due time and then the larger motor will really be applicable. In the same respect I dunno which one would be best suited for a xl with larger tires.

Be careful with that. If you would use one LiPo more than the other the performance in serie will decrease and the risk will increase. I personally don't recommend it, but when money is tight it's an option. Just be sure to watch the voltages very closely!

I run two TP 5400mah 25C 3s lipo's and one has been used a bit more than the other. I upped the LVC to 3.3V if I remember correctly, just to be on the safe(r) side. In my opinion, the more mah the better. Minimum 25C 5000mah is a good idea. Noone likes short run times

Personally I wouldn't use Lipo in a Savage Flux, why use a fragile unstable battery in a car built to have the s#it beaten out of it.

Like building a Submarine with a Screen Door.

Ummmmmm ya.....Lipo is all I know!!!! Lol

Anywho my wife ordered me the new castle 1520 1y 1600kv for my christmas present. This is the first time she has givin me something RC related. Finally we are making progress in our marraige! I dunno if I will put it in the savy or the xt8 but one thing I'm sure of it will get used. I just thought it was a pretty good deal.

Still have yet to get my lipos. I need to sell a few things...Paypal is drained. Anyone know where I can find the 6s splitter for charging two 3s other the hobbyking who's out.
