What car is this? - 10.24.2007, 11:34 PM

A patient of mine just gave me a 1/8 scale nitro car. The chassis appears to be plexi glass. There are two plates of it. The top one holding there servos and the bottom has the wheels attached. There are no other suspension elements. The motor has OPS stamped on it. The gas tank has DELTA stamped on it. My camera is out of town with my daugter so I can't post any pics. What do you think?

Sounds like a custom job to me. Never seen a plexi glass chassis on a factory car before...

Don't know yet. Maybe convert it to electric? Sell it? Try and run it as is?

Sounds like an old Delta car... they have been making 1/8 on road cars since the 70's-early 80's

You mean fiberglass or plexiglass (clear)? I know they have had some fiberglass chassis.

I have an old RC250 2wd car that is probably similar to yours...

Speaking of old cars, freind of mine was just handed a mint Yokomo Super Dogfighter. Looks brand new, guess his neighbor had no idea what he had.

Looking through some old threads and found this one. It was a Delta. I sold it to a collector in Japan for $300.

Mine was the Delta CK800 about 4 rows down. He sure did restore it nice.

But back on topic: I agree, there are a couple decent deals on items but NOTHING like I have seen in years past. At this point my BF shopping is going to be for some 2 dvds most of which I probably already own. I am a bit disappointed that there are not more things that I am salivating over right now. Who knows what can happen with secret items but I its looking like Im not spending the night anywhere.

What exactly are secret items?
another WTF?!

And this one has an avatar now!! How the hell could we be getting internet bleedthru with having to register, passwords, etc... there's been a few of these lately and it has to be someone innocently tweeting or something- why is it ending up here??
