the tires just seemed kinda small compared to the size of th entire truck. i think the stock tires are the perfect size for a standard length savage. if i had kept it extended, i would have had to get 7" tires to make it look right.

i had a chance to run my 3s lipos in my flux. the standing backflips were fun until i heard the dreaded clicking. i stopped the backflips and jumped off a bike ramp for awhile until my rear diff locked up, and then lost all power. i took the truck home and opened it up to find that the internal diff gears were shattered. i took the diff cup and diff internals that i needed from my nitro savage and hopefully if it isn't still raining tomorrow, i'll be able to run it again, this time, on the 2s lipos it came with.

my theory for the shattered diff internals is, usually the ring and pinion gears are the weakest link in the diff assembly and usually break first. since i have the BP diffs, i think now, the weakest link is the diff internals.

i have cannibalized quite a few parts from my nitro savage already. i took a couple screws i needed, a differential, and a transmission gear. so much for selling it as a BL roller. it is officially a parts truck for my flux. i'm sure within a few months, that truck will be nothing more than a few little parts and screws sitting in a box somewhere.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
