I had the Micro DT. The losi Micros aren't fast by any means, at least not in stock form. I never did any upgrades, never broke anything either though. Stock I would estimate it to be about 7MPH....MAYBE. As far as an off road version, which one are you talking about? There all off road vehicle in the sense that they are a stadium truck, baja beetle, desert truck, the high roller, and even the crawler. However that doesn't mean they are capable of going on anything other than a smooth surface. My DT got hung up on an extension cord. My biggest complaint and the reason I got rid of it was the cost of upgrades. To upgrade to brushless you have to replace the servo and rx plus buy the esc and motor, by the time you do that you have put more into it than what it cost originally. If you want something small thats fun to play with get yourself a 1/18th scale, the RC18T is great, much faster in stock form than an upgraded micro plus its 4WD. Throw on an RPM front bumper and I'd be surprised if you ever break anything!
