Relatively speaking, 1/12 vehicles are much lighter than their 1/10 or 1/8 counterparts ( crt.5 vs crt), so when they do crash, there isnt as much inertia behind the impact- not as prone to breakage as you might imagine. Then again, it all depends on the design and strength of the parts; if its made from spindley little bits of plastic and tiny rod ends, it'll still break easily enough.

I've heard many good things about the Hyper ste recently, may look into one of those as my next project- an out & out basher that Im not half affraid to use for fear of damaging its impossible to replace parts... (see: Gmaxx)
