mine is to expand my knowledge and make more money.. i really wanted to start a community college and get a degree in welding.. money and lack of motivation beat that down last year.. i'm actually pretty smart for being a sophmore dropout..

This sums up what I think about 'New Years Resolutions'... "A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one Year and out the other."

My two resolutions were to get back into a reasonable jogging routine. I kind of fell out after it started to get really cold around here. Not usually a problem but boy this year I became a big baby.

The second was the most important one, and that is to get my wifes ulcerative colitis under control. We are going to get her into see another GI doctor to see if a second opinion may be key. I don't like pumping her with meds, there has to be a easier, better way.

Anyway that is pretty much all I want to accomplish this year. Not much huh? Sorry no RC related resolutions, but I got to do what I got to do.

My resolution for last year came up pretty dang short, This year must be different due to health reasons.

I resolve to persue the completion of any unfinished hobby items. I'm tired of seeing my worksop/ study idle and cluttered.

I work too hard not to enjoy my free time.

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

My resolution is to stop eating so much fast food. I have no problem getting it once in awhile, but I was at the point of eating it almost every day. I don't have a weight problem or anything, it's just terrible, unhealthy food (at least the stuff I like to get.) In a similar vein, I'm also trying to cut down on the amount of meat in my diet in general. Been doing some reading and watching a few documentaries about livestock production and horrible barely describes most of the practices involved.

Finally, I have my standard yearly quit smoking attempt. So far I'm down to 1-2 a day, and shooting for 0 starting next week. The e-cig has been a big help (I know it's still nicotine and no good for you, but it's the lesser of the evils, and helps me much more than gum or patches.)

As you see I try to have multiple resolutions, that way I'm more likely to succeed with one of them, LOL. Strength in numbers!

Personally I feel that New Years Resolutions are a waste of time. I truly feel for some of you trying to quit smoking, or losing weight, or whatever. I learned a long time ago that we have a personal responsibility to ourselves to wake up every single day and vow to find some small way to improve who we are and how we deal with life in general.

Addictions are a tough thing for anyone to deal with and no one else can truly understand your pain, but if you know its bad for you stop making excuses and let it go. smoking is financially wasteful, hygenically discusting, and it speeds up your death. Knowledge is power. The more knowledge you achieve the more power you acquire. Live that perspective and you will have the life you wish. Life is too short to waste one minute of it doing things that we know are destructive to our lives. Commitment is the key to changing anything about our lives. Good luck to all of you with your quest.

SUPERMAXX YOUR LIFE.
