Time to update! I've been having a blast with my E-Maxx, I use it almost every day. That has brought up the weakest link....the stock motors are gone! I wound up coating my MMM with liquid electric tape to increase it's water resistance, so far it has proven to work great. I have had a Medusa 36-70-1600 sitting around for months, so that went in as well. I'm only running 4s so the motor isn't spinning up that fast and I have it geared pretty low as well, 68/20. Speeds are much better than I had anticipated and the ability to run lipo instead of just NiMh is great. Most of the time I am running on NiMh though as I get better runtime with them in the cold than I do with the lipos. I have done a few upgrades but only as needed for the most part. Broke a rear tower so I put RPM front and rear towers in, broke an A-arm and replaced the front arms with RPM versions, RPM skids and front bumper as well, and I snapped a rear turnbuckle so I bought the upgraded Traxxas ones since my LHS had them and I wanted to run that day! I also put a Spektrum rx in when I switched to brushless. All in all I'm still sticking to my plan and making a solid basher that's not out for blistering speeds.
