The moral of the story- if it aint broke, it dont need to be sent in for fixing/replacing/upgrading.

I havent heard of too many peoples reburbs being duds, one or two at most have been reported..

If you ever have a refurbished or repaired controller come back and fails, please contact Tech Support. We will get a replacement controller (new) out to you immediately, it will be sent with a prepaid mailer. Our new repair process allows for a quicker turn around, but does use a few more refurbished units. The smell is probably from it sitting next to a smelly, charred controller. Burned PCB odor lingers and gets into everything. There's nothing like opening a package and finding a bag of stinky black ash that spills on your desk and lap. If you do have any problems, please let us know and we'll get you fixed up.
