Now even retired I still work so we can both be involved in the hobbies that we choose. We are very much focused on our family life, but we make sure that we have room for the extra stuff as well.

Yes I may be a bit tough on these matters, but the bottom can fall out on any of us in a second. You have to cover your six.

I appreciate the advice and it is taken into consideration. I feel the gnawing end that seems to be nearing. I understand my situation and am in and I have already done things to make repair. These times are a bit out of hand. I was at a Job fair today at the Grand Seirra, a local casino, and only 10 vendors showed up for close to 400 people that supposedly had attended. I arrived at 45 till 11 and I was probably 40th in line. Though I didn't feel I got anything from it I still left resumes with three of the vendors. There is another at our local university next wednesday that I will also be attending. My brother is going through ropes to see if he can get me a job with his work though they laid of their most recent employee, I would enjoy working for him at USBS. I am an idiot, but not a complete one. I knew what I was doing by leaving, I know what I will have to do if nothing proper comes up.

However I did get good advice to which route I wanted to take with my RCs. Looking at how so many here have so many, and knowing that so many here have went through the same feuds regarding selling or not. I have talked things over with the wife and I am going to loose most of them so that we can have some extra to put into the OS savings account. We have an OS savings account that we started adding to back when she and I were both working two jobs. It is a second savings account that has slowly grown to a decent amount that we usually only dip into for things like furniture or a new computer...

I guess I should just be grateful for having peers like everyone here that will give me the tough answer I rarely get elsewhere.

And with that I think I am pretty much over this conversation and I have a feeling others here are thinking it has dragged out a bit longer than expected. So thanks everyone for letting me tell you a little about my life story. Next time it will be less ranting.

Dude, get a scaler!!!! Way more fun than a traditional ax-10 or crawler. They can crawl, get submerged in mud and water, and look cool as shit. Go to rccrawler.com and peak around in the scaler sections. My name is tedo over there too, to see my build and pics. A $9 zippy 2200 last 45 minutes in the woods..

Thanks but I think I am in the works of a trade. My caster fusion, with motor and a 2.4 for his axial with pretty equal value. I like the tube chassis look. TCS has that eclipse and edge chassis. I like that idea. Ever since I read a recent article on RC Driver magazine about a rock racer I liked the idea of a crawler that can haul.

Hey Reno911 no problem at all. We do like sharing what we know in the hopes that it will help others make calulated decisions from our experiences. Just one more note for you. Just putting in reume's will get you no where. You have to go back after one week and show them that you are truly interested and want whatever job you applied for. Most employers receive dozens of apps every day and if they never here from those people again they will only figure that they must have found work elsewhere. You have to let them know that you are motivated and ready for work. Think about it. Who would you want working for you. Someone who sets around waiting for a phone call, or someone who takes the intiiative to call back and get some level of resolution? Good luck with the job hunting.

Please don't take any of what I said as any kind of an attack on your character Sir. You came asking for advice and we will surely give it to you, even if it might be something that stings a little bit. Jtheissen is right about me. I have been through alot over the last 50 years and have helped young men and women change their lives for the better all over the world. I realized a long time ago not to sugar coat anything just to apease someone elses fragile sensibilities. I don't share advice just to hear myself talk. I have worked around the globe and I know how to get a job. Subtle tactics are for loosers. I have not gone one day of my adult life without employment. If I leave one job, you can bet that I will be starting another job the very next working day. Employers look for things like that when hiring. If you have breaks in your employment they look at this as a sign of laziness, unless you can show medical or hardship reasons for those breaks.

Reno- I enjoyed reading this thread and learning about you. It's clear by your thoughts/ideas/spelling/grammar that you are smarter than the average bear. Most here are. The members and advice here on RCM keep me coming back for more.

I hold on to my r/c builds because nobody can appreciate the attention to detail of my builds but me. Well, not as much as me anyway. I'm proud of the research I did to find the best parts,and the time and work I put into them.

Never... Prove it... Actually as I was approaching my retirement from US Naval service(02/May/1997) I had already setup my follow on employment and started working part time on that job three months before my retirement date(while on active duty). From then on when I changed from one job to the next I always had things setup so that I never missed a days work. That is until I married the wife(03/Dec/2004) and began moving from one country to another as the following spouse. Now I set jobs up well in advance of heading for the next post, and fortunately the Department lets spouses accumulate work time towards a US Gov retirement from post to post to post. I know thats just me. For me there is no reason to leave a job unless another one is lined up so that my family never goes without. Unless of course you get fired, but that has never happened to me so I cannot share any experiences about that. Proper planning is all it takes.

I agree with you on terms on planning well ahead of time. Aside from having patience, that's one of the most important things I learned from the U.S. Navy after almost 19 years of service .
