Doug what was your HV setup??? What problems were you having with that??
And speedys fail all the time, my G3R went through 6 speedys, 3 MMMs 2 MGMs and one quark. At least with castle you can send it off and get warranty or replacement fairly easy. When i sent the MGMs off to get repaired the turn around was about 3 months. And it still failed when i got it back. Try and gear for 40mph as a standard and work from there. My advice to you would be to invest (if you have not already) In an eagle tree system and that way you can see exactly what is happening. Electrics are funny things

mm failure - 03.31.2010, 02:44 AM

to respond about my expirence level ive been raceing for about 12 years and i do have a good grasp of the subject but these 1/8 scale systems seem to be inmature and less dependable in comparison to the 1/10 stuff.I cant think of too many folks that run 1/8 E and havent smoked multiple components. I mean if any other form of consumer electronics were this prone to failure they would be out of work in no time.Im not picking on castle, im picking on novak,LRP,tekin, speed passion, and all the other crap thats been offered up as state of the art 1/8 systems and i happen to think very highly of castle and novaks 1/18 and1/10 setups but when a set up goes at my home track ,nine out of ten times its one of the" state of the art" 1/8 systems.ive got a GTB thats not been touched in three years, a momba max pro over a year, and castle1/18 that stood up to three years before it tanked . anyway ,sorry about all the pissing and whinning .just needed that off my chest im tapped out and shoudnt keep doing this butt i will
