the way its held down I guess you have to remove those items, the top screws for diff and servo plate so that you can move the shaft for removal of CD

I just noticed this and it was my only annoyance putting the truck together, other than having to dremel out my servo holder to get the servo to fit.. Overall I am stoked about the new build!

I have a long arm on my servo and it makes a 90 angle. I will take a pic tonight. Was your truck an 08 spec to start?

oh quit your whining i said would paint all your bodies when summer gets here (2-3 weeks away) hell ive only had time to paint 5 bodies in the past 4 weeks with school and work. Lately painting has been cutting into my cars maintenance time severly. Ive still got 7 more bodies sitting here too.

hell my xray is still in back of my truck since the other weekend when we ran. haven't even had time to bring it in the house yet, poor thing.

Sick paint rootar!!! Would it be possible to get a picture of the rear shock tower with the body mounts lowered? I love the way the "new" truggy bodies look.

I couldn't resist and I decided to do this conversion!

Below is my parts list and if everything goes well I should have the truggy running in a couple of weeks.

XRAY XT8 2009 Spec
RC-Monster Conversion (Mike is working on a trick receiver box, it should be sweet!)
46t Slipperential
Tekin RX8 1550kv truggy motor
Hyperion 5s 5000mah lipo
Futaba S9351 (It's a spare servo with ~200oz of torque, will this be enough)

My truggy will be used only for racing. Where is a good place to start with setup? Shocks, diffs, tires, speedo?? Setup sheets?

Are there any option parts that are a necessity?

Anyone want to buy new nitro parts?

He said that he has a cad drawing of the receiver box and he just has to machine it, test it, and make changes if needed. Something like what he did with his D8 kit.

On a side note, how many people like the new style of body? It would be cool to have something like this for the XT8.
