I believe the original users for that CD mount were FLM Maxx owners... See the links below:

RC Monster direct drive unit for FLM E-Maxx A quote from this thread: "Note that I had to dremel the chassis top plate so the diff spur would fit." Not sure what spur size he had in there.







As suggested above... maybe you could just go with a 44 tooth spur... If you stick with the 46 tooth, some work on the upper plate might be required.
