He is interested and believe he will - but it takes time...

I'm sure he's been busy with getting Slipperentials and batteries out - RCX was only a few weeks ago...

That was a thougth of mine, and I'm glad to here it from you. So should I call? I think it is one of the best hop-ups for the Maxx. One of many hop-ups that help it evolve and stay competive with the new truggies which partially came from the Maxx anyway as people were trying to make MTs more and more track oriented it became Unlimited MTs then they dropped that title and moved to just truggies. I mean the Maxx changed everything might as well attempt to keep it around. 2 cents.

You could always get someone else to make you the unit if Mike is busy (I've never known him not to be...). Metalman could do it (he's good with metal ), Candyman probably could (based in UK, but shipping wouldnt be that much of a hassle), or even Delta Maxx could do it- you've seen his completely custom built chassis and center diff unit? CLICKY

Mike wouldnt hold it against you - we're all one big happy family who help eachother out when one of us is too busy to do a job.

Hint: the buyer must approach the seller if he wants custom parts made- the seller wouldnt know otherwise...

I would suggest PMing the the guys to see if any of them can help, rather than hoping/ expecting them to visit this thread by chance and seeing your request

Where did you manage to get this plate that the mount bolts too? did it come with the mount or did you have to mock it up yourself? Could you give me the dimensions of the plate too as i may be able to make it work in my savage...

THANKS

Josh

That was part of the original unit, but the whole thing was a custom on-off. The current production model in the shop comes without it- you can ask Mike to make you one though to fit a certain vehicle, will just cost a bit extra & take longer.

Ok I have to ask because this mount is sooo tempting. With the two pics above. Doesn't the older style mount look a lot thicker? more Beef? I still will prob pick one up tho.

Was is the Thickness of the AL for any of the owners of ths mount? Thanks guys!

thanks for clarifying that neil.
I will prob get candyman to make something up for me.
I have some ideas to allow quick, simple removal if necessary for the savage. (the tranny was the most annoying thing to access as it involved complete side plate removal of the TVPs.

Zippy i know what you mean. I like the older style for robustness.. but i think the new style allows more flexibility of spur gears and im sure they wouldnt have changed the design to comprimise strenth and quality.
