You could use that concept if you used the shorter hingepin with the E-clips you would want to run some spacers so you dont get lateral movement, but it is a good concept. Is the pivot ball just threaded into the Turnbuckle?
Did you ever blow those 3906 diffs??

I like this idea & style, but I would want a smoother, cleaner looking arm...like the Dace Mfg. upper arm, but with a camber-adjuster built into it like the pics below...
These are the Dace arms (on the left)...
This looks cool as well...

Yep those are pretty cool. I have the truck back together after the huge rebuild. Its great. All new Avid bearing. Finally all of Jacob's Proline Powerstrokes are on. I plan to bash them 2day or 2moro but regardless at the end of the week I'm going to probably empty them and add some 60wt oil. I haven't figured out how I'm going to clean them completely any suggestions? I can't remember how I've done this in the past. I got my arms and bracing done, made a new CD top plate out of FullForce CF, switched completely to a one battery setup with my 4s Hyperion next month I'll order a 6500 4s pack so I can run 25 minute mains, and moved my ESC and cleaned up the wiring a bit.
Jacob, the diffs where doing great! Infact I opened the rear one up just to peak and it was missing a tooth but running fine. I finally got my UE 8spider diffs fixed so I'll take them out at the end of the week and put the UE Ultralites back in.
I also filled the GS storm CD with 30k. I don't know what was in it.
Remaining victory points:
-VTR Calibers
-7075 aluminum opposite motor mount CD bulk, its plastic now.
-35c Hyperion 4s 6500mah
-My own custom lower profile towers
-CF steering rx tray/deck/plate, its aluminum now.
-Another body just like the one I have now.
-Alittle more camber and some other tuning to do.
-Would be cool to have a Slipperential one day.
Is this a good place to keep my extra rotor?
Thanks,
Zack

THe CD had 10k in it, as far as cleaning the shocks I use an air compressor and a 2" paint brush with the bristles cut down so they are stiffer. I cant believe those diffs held out that long, I put them in there originally just to get her going and use it. After a few packs they were still together so i said screw it and left them in.
On another note I finally did some damage to my RC8Te. I bent the front d/s dirveshaft/CVD, big jump lol..... Only took 4 months of bashing to finally break something. I love 1/8!!!!

I clean my shocks with an old toothbrush, soap (Dawn) & water, and twisting a soapy wet paper towel down inside the shock body to get out the gunk/oil in the very bottom.

IS that in your garden or a public park? I'd find/ make some U shaped pegs and nail that crap to the ground, or move it somewhere safer.
Is the silver foil on the cell damaged or ripped at all, or just the blue shrink?

Its a drag for a public BMX track. It smooths and grades the bumps out when being dragged by a tractor or 4wheeler. It could cut an ankle to the bone. Its quite pernicious. I thought I would be more down about it, but after hearing it and figuring out what happened when I saw it, I was like of course. I got in the truck and called it a day, no screaming or swearing. I was impressed.
Yes, it is quite deep I was afraid the pics would not do it justice. Its into the foil. I expected some kind of sign like some puffing or smoke or flames but these Hyperions are pretty tough. What is the next step? It really want(ed) to run it I've done alot to. It was an experimental run, the first time for some mods. For instance all 8 Power Stroke's maiden voyage. Please tell me I can run it! lol

If the damaged cell is reading 2.35v... yep, 3s pack time.
I'd avoid running near that thing again, nasty...

Sell it (might not get too much, but it's better than not using it at all) and apply the money towards that 4S 6500mah pack you want to get.

Simplechamp that sounds like the thing to do. I took the damaged cell out and placed it in a tub of salt water. That was fun, lots of bubbles and what looked to be underwater smoke, yet the water never got warm. This went on for about an hour. To be safe I'll leave it in there for two weeks.

The replacement showed up today. I ordered it a few days ago before any of this happened.
I need a tray.

Got killer 16mm HPI Vorza shocks coming to go with the shorty towers.
Hopefully it will work if not I'll make it work with some carbon fiber on the arms.
I'm getting the whole center bulk, both braces front and rear in aluminium now. before the rear one has been plastic. It should sure up the truck.
I have loved this build.
