Its just after 11AM 29/Sunday/2010here in Korea and UFC 118 has just begun live on AFN(free) for the armed forces and people like me who are lucky enough to receive the broadcast overseas. Diaz seems to be dominating Davis for the first fight. This one is going to be an exciting event for sure with Cotoure and Tony battling it out. Plus BJ Penn & Franky Edgar, Kenny Florian vS Gray Maynard, and a few other fights that should be nail biters. My votes are as follows.
Diaz
Cotoure
BJ Penn
& Kenny Florian
All to win their bouts.
SUPERMAXX YOUR LIFE.

Reason: CORRECTION
And Nate Diaz chokes out Marcus Davis in the third round after pummling his face for nearly 15 minutes. Marcus looked like he was hit by a truck. Nice fight for Diaz. He even admitted that he broke his right hand in the first round. Nice fight.
Second fight is over and I have to admit it was pretty weak as far as UFC fights go. Maynard just held Florian off most of the fight, and took Kenny down in each round, even though he was unable to dominated him from the top. Pretty much a (NO FIGHT) event. Even the Boston Mass crowd appears half asleep in this one. I sure hope the remaining fights are more exciting.
You obviously have no idea what goes on here on the RCM forum. Fist off that is why this is called the general discussion thread. Second we like to talk about anything and everything here on RCM. This is not the traxxas forum. I think you may want to do a little bit of research on this forum to see what we talk about, and the type of demenor we use in here. Once again if you don't like the discussions going on in here, then contact one of the moderators and let them do the forum control.
Well here goes the first of the two main events. This one is going to be good between Randy Coutore and James Tony. Then we get to see the PJ Penn fight.
OK well James Tony tapped out in the first round. He was just no match for the Natural Randy Couture. He put Tony to shame in his first ever UFC fight after Tony talked allot of crap about how the UFC is just fake fighting. Too bad Randy did not beat on him for a little while longer to really teach him a lesson. Great victory for the UFC.
but yes the fights are All staged move for move Before the fight date is set and Airs.
just like the WWF , WCW
Yeah.......... That'll be the day! If it's fake, why don't you go sign up to be on Ultimate Fighter? I mean, since it's staged, you won't really get hurt, right?
Really man, no offense but that's the biggest load of BS I've seen/heard/read all day.

Well what a disappointing show by BJ Penn. He came in almost like he felt sick, and hardly threw a punch during the whole fight. Frank Edgar really fought a great fight and did not give BJ a second to rest or regroup.
Another great UFC show for Dana white. Some good matches and some great moments in fighting history. Love the free overseas telecast, thank you AFN.
Yea I thought for sure there would be more guys watching the fights and posting up thoughts. The Couture Vs Tony fight was not a surprize for sure, and I believe from Tonys interview afterwards he was quite surprized at how REAL the UFC fighting is. The funny moment was trying to understand Tony during the follow up interview. He was mumbling and speaking ebonics, which was nearly impossible to understand.
All-in-all it was a good night of fighting to see a Pro boxer get beat after talking all kinds of smack, but seeing BJ lose was not expected. Then to have to come on here and listen to somebody talk about how phoney the UFC is just makes you want to push him into the Octagon and lock the gate. I hate seeing some new guy enter a new arena and be so arrogant and rude in a place where he has no standing. Good always prevales in the end. I hope everyone who got to see the fights had a good time. God bless our troops.
