So I'd say not this is not a good choice for racing. For cheap bashing only (which it does just fine).

I've been running this esc this winter in my snow-basher truggy (now mud-basher since the snow melted). I waterproofed it with liquid-tape and it has performed well.

Since I recalibrated my tx, the esc has been performing better than it was according to my above quote. Maybe I didn't calibrated it correctly to begin with, but it responds better now to the throttle.
