That brace worked well for your application but I don't think it will work for Mike's, as Mike's weak point is aound the bearing housing. Sure, it won't bend too much if it pushes against the bearing but it might cause a sticky drivetrain. Also, as in Arctik's pics, there is nothing stopping it bending the other way. I agree with JT, it needs some more bulk to it.
Of course, when Mike made these I don't think he had a 1520 in mind
