8s, data logging, no heat concerns, and high efficiency.

I would use a smaller amp version of the XL if they made one.

An 8-12s, 120amp, MMP with data logging and a 10amp BEC would be worth the same $350 to me. There just isn't such an item... Yet

I love it! Castle needs that on a users photo page or something.

I like it!

VERY clean layout.

I have a feeling you're gonna have to tame that somewhat for it to be controllable.

Ummm.......is that a 1518?

A 1518, and he'll yes I have to use some limiting to control it. But that's the general idea, over build and under use. It should run like a top without being stressed at all.

Thanks to the data logging from when it was in the Hyper7 I figure it will run a 20 minute main on 2x 2650mah 4s lipo's at 640gr for the pair.

I may size down the motor with another castle/neu at some point, something lower kv so I don't run close to the RPM limit.

Not to sound like an ass or anything, but what is the point in putting that ESC in a 8th scale buggy? Is 6s not enough for you?
Overkill is where it's at.

Shonen, anothe magician

Can you post up some more pics, data logs, or a thread you've got that has that type stuff in it?

Glad to see I'm not the only one seeing the benefits of using this ESC in something other than a baja.

Edit: Not that I'm uninterested in some of you baja lovers to post up pics and data as well!

Just picked up my project I hope to use the MXL in:

It's going to be a 1:4 scale outlaw funny car, probably weighing less than 20 lbs. 6S to start, and hope to settle at 8S, but I have a feeling I won't need to go that high. Chain drive with two gear sets to help get the wheel RPM up so that I can hit 69 - 65 mph in less than 2s. I will start on the CAD right after I'm done with a 1:10 funny car I'm working on right now. Total build time will probably be about 6 months or so.

Next to the 1:4 body is my current 1:10 funny car racer. The 1:4 will have a 31" wb compared to the 1:10, which has a 14" wb.

Thanks James, I'm too Funny thing is, I'll have to get a cheap 6ft trailer to haul it behind my car when I go race with it. The sheer scope of this project is mind boggling to me, but I think i will be fun.
