As far as the laptop battery goes... really? really? take it apart... I did this with a "dead" laptop battery that a freind gave me, and I have salvaged all of the 18650 cells out of it and use them in my various flashlights.

Likely the charge circuit crapped out on this pack, or the lvc, so it would not work. Food for thought on yours. Or just make a lipo that can be attached in the vacant area left by the original pack.

Yeah, I took the cells out. They were a little low at ~2.8v/cell, but were easily brought back. I really have no use for them so I just discarded them.

i have a celeron 2.6ghz cpu and a pc2100 256mb stick if you need them...
i live in europe though..

Actually, bdebde sent two 256MB sticks already. 512MB total should be just fine for what I'm using it for. But, I think Arct1k would be interested...

Chris, please post back if you get it. I was going to send you one of my 256MB sticks since I only need 2 (already have one), but if you get the 512MB stick, I'll just keep it as a spare.

Brian - Check if they both work but if you could spare one it would be most appreciated. The guy its for is a worthy cauase, he works for a charity couciling troubled kids.
