That's a great service the LBS offers. Are you putting in more miles to make up for being a bad boy over thanks giving and Xmas I take it a bridge climb is much like a small hill??
I got severely dissappointed on sunday. My bro said he wasn't coming, I thought 'YES, I can give it a bit more' but then Dad said he invited his GF. It was a pleasant casual ride but less than half the usual distance. Definitley not the workout I was hoping for. It has crossed my mind to go for a group ride before work during the week. The early early morning is kind of scaring me though. I need to drive to Dad's house then ride.
no Im just trying to get better. These are much larger than hills in my opinion. I will see if i can find pics for you. Yes it is a great service they provide. The owner is a former NYC Bicycle messenger & Professional racer.. At lest you got to ride on Sunday.
It doesn't rise much. Not a real challenge. Some of the hills we do are more of a challenge. Most are reasonably short and sharp. I like these 'cause I've been cruising (more often than not) I've got lots of energy to give it full throttle up the hill. I can pass a few people this way but I have to hold up on the other side to wait for bro He can cruise a good speed but hills are his enemy
Out of all the Bridges i listed. The Second one seems to cause me the most issues. I rode 35 miles this morning. The wind was bad, especially going down the Bridges. It would grab my bike & move me at least 6 inches or more. I rode the FR brake most of the way down . There was nothing to block the wind on the Bridges, since they were over the water. I have been trying to keep my cadence around 90 +.
