Just glad to be of assistance in helping you raise funds. Its always nice doing business with you Joe, and it smply amazes me how you keep coming up with all of these rare parts to build these trucks so quickly. Look forward to seeing your latest anodizing project. I am sure that it will be another beautiful rig. Good luck Joe.

Looks like a great start. What color scheme is this one going to have?

Thanks for sharing.

Parts landed at the annodizer a couple days ago so they are in line on the work orders. He has a M3 Heli Coil kit so he is going to pull the coils out of the diff cases for me before he strips these in the stripper solution and then is going to install new coils. Much better than finding out after the fact that I have to buy a Heli Coil kit and work for a hour or better on each Heli Coil in my VBS to get the half ate away ones out. Man that sucked! Won't ever have that happen again. haha

Will update when I get the parts back. Should be cool, stay tuned....

I can't wait to see it!!! :)

I just bought a new "Stage 3" Thunder Chassis Kit, so I am going to also build a Thunder very soon, but it will most likely remain silver.

Before!

After!

The Towers and Monoblock turned out cloudy more than the rest of the Yellow parts and these were done in the same batch as the arms so I don't know what is up with that and he said he could try it again but just did not want to etch and strip the parts too much. I figure it is good enough since this truck is going to be my primary runner truck. I am happy to have it back. Even had to give my work desk a overhaul before I laid it out.....haha

Pretty wild looking. Now I gotta come up with a shell idea. I think I might get another one of the F650's like the Mad Cow or the HPI 79 SuperCab F150.

Nice to see that you finally got the parts back. Yellow is my favorite color so I think it looks fantastic. Good balance and color combo, which means it will be another great build to see completed. I wish that I had access to doing some of that anodizing stuff. I think it looks pretty damned good. Nice configuration once again Joe.

I'm not a ford fan, but the HPI 79 Ford body is really cool. Very nice color scheme you have there, can't wait to see it go together!

Wow very cool!! You should do a black and gold truck. Mostly black part gold and some other as a small trim type. IMHO that would look great! (maybe gray as the small trimmage element).

I am glad you are going to run it!

Took some better pics outdoors yesterday. The colors are much better outside in some good lighting. Even in the shade I still get glare....cannot seem to get away from that. It is either too cloudy out or just too bright....haha Dang it!

The parts came out great. That is going to be one unique truck once all put together.

When they do the anodizing do you have an option to have a part done in two colors? Like the rims done in black and yellow?

Yeah some places give that option but unfortunately he does not do that yet. They would anodize the darker color first and then seal and strip the anodizing back off on the opposite color area and then dip it for the lighter color thus producing the two tone effect. That is how they did my R&B Lightning, applied the stripper for the marble effect and then dipped it in Red.

I have 1 more truck I am going to anodize and I want it to have Marble again so I either have to try and contact that previous company or find a new one. The last information I had on that company who did my R&B Lightning was the guy who helped me do it burnt his bridges there so I hope they will take more business from RC people. I have not yet contacted them about it.

I already have the colors I want for the next truck and it won't be Gold for sure. Yellow is about as close to a light color as I can get. I am a fan of dark colors but I knew Yellow would go sweet with Black for my taste. The next one will be the best yet if I can get the colors I want. Might just go solid and try some two tone instead of marble, the two tone would look killer on the wheels for sure. I will have to ponder over that when the time comes, maybe this coming winter I will do that one. I have 3 more after this one to build. I have a Thunder I want to make into a Gasser when the HPI 1/8 scale Gas motors come out. Going to send it off and have a custom motor mount made if it will actually fit. Just gotta wait and see after those engines come out. Also will have to figure up a gas tank, hopefully the Savage one they produce for their Savage gasser will fit with some modification.

Hopes and dreams in the back of my head.....
