That is a brilliant idea. Never even thought of running oil in it. I will give that a go first and see how it runs.

They dont leak from bearings etc?

Mine is a Savage X nitro. So will have to get the metal gears from flux box. But thats ok will find them no probs.

My "phase 2" plan is to go with a center diff. I'd like to see what others have used for center dogbones with a center diff. I bought the truck with the KD tranny already in it. It was someone elses project that was never finished.

I don't have high hopes for that tranny with the 1717.

I personally like the simplicity of a center diff...in stead of a tranny. Less to worry about IMO


1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S
