The cartwheels are what was killing my stub axles. I think the aluminum carriers taking away all the give causes them to snap. There are some wright ups on the traxxas board about using the traxxas 2.5 t-maxx slider shafts, pretty simple just need 6mm inner diameter bearings for the carriers. Some were saying the output cups fit a little sloppy on the diff outdrives, but had eliminated their breaking problem.

The T-maxx sliders were what I was going to do to my Slash 4x4 before I sold it. Its not the aluminum carriers that cause the stub axles to bend. Its the shocks and the stub axles themselves. The stubs are weak for the weight of the truck, and the shocks bottom out transfering the force to the stub. Especially in a rollover situation where the chassis isn't hitting the ground preventing the suspension from bottoming out. I've read alot of cases of people bending stub axles with plastic carriers and it seems those going with 1/8 scale buggy shocks don't have issues with the stubs anymore.

I was wondering about the old t/emaxx sliders... I have a bunch. Where can you get 6x11 bearings? I will give avid and boca a try.

What we need is a hub setup that would use revo sliders...

Which 1/8 buggy shocks? Fronts and rears, seeing that the pede uses different length shocks?

Maybe go with lst shocks!!!

Yeah, that's what I thought. Which in true over achiever fashion led to,


I still have these diffs setup using the Revo outputs, that part is simple, so if anyone has an idea on an easier hub setup , please let me know.

Very interesting, could you give more detail to what you did?

Are those rpm lower arms? Are they the replacements for the 4x4 pede or another vehicle? Might be the angle, they just look different?

That looks like e-maxx true track arms by rpm with a custom top link to get the proper camber for the slash/pede with 3.3 axles should hold great!!
