Did you wire the BEC like I stated?
cutting the plug off, and soldering the power leads to the ESC's power leads?
I didnt get any instructions or anything with it.

I just looked at one that had good torque and decent speed, figured it would help the steering and holding the wheels when im putting the power to it.

Yeah, as soon as I seen the 4PL had adjustable tension on the trigger and wheel, I was sold!!
Stupid reason to some, but everytime I used someone Spektrum, it just felt..."soft and limp"

My Spektrum DX3.0 and DX3r both have adjustable tension as well. There are a couple recessed screws that allow you to do the adjustment.
