But if you feel you requre it, then go for it. Everytime i reinstall mine and when rebuilding my diffs, i always make sure that my diffs either need or dont need shimming.

Wow, i was under the impression that at least one shim was necesary between the bearings and the surfaces they were contacting to prevent wear or something. Think i must've read it somewhere on a different forum.

Just took the shims completely out.. You were right!!! The diff fit perfect, perfect mesh, perfect amount of backlash, etc. Thanks man!
