Check the formula for calculating the power the motor can use. The amp levels you can use will vary with the voltage and the wind. However for more voltage and motor resistance the aount of current you can draw falls

Eg on 10 cells run a 1.5Y over 130 amps and it will fry

Ere on the side of torque ie lower Kv and use more cells - not only will you have huge speed and acceleration, much harder than any current rc tire can deal with, your runtimes will be better than guys who went for the amp hog motors
That's around 6-7 HP. Incredible what these electric motors can dish out. Also an incredible leap from the brushed motor standard some years ago.

I quit RC when brushed motors was the only thing on the market (As far as I know.), and came back to the brushless standard. Quite a massive leap in technology. There are also other forms of electric power though, but what is more powerful than brushless? When will it come out? Anyone know?
