@ BrianG or any other electrical wizards,

If the BEC is the issue, can someone explain why it seems so difficult to build the circuit correctly?
It would seem to me that if one can build an ESC to put out very high amps in a precise controlled fashion that a simple constant voltage circuit would not be very hard to pull off?

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

Version 2 Mamba XL's have not started shipping yet, but they are currently being finished up in production. If you have a version 1, it can be sent in for repair. We had to add a TVS to the BEC. Some servos on higher voltages were causing voltage spikes to come back up the line and take out the BEC. With the addition of the TVS, it prevents the voltage spikes from damaging components.

Hey Tom...I was talking with Joe at RCX. Is there any chance that the one that is being delivered to my LHS tomorrow from Horizon Hobby be a V2? It came off back order last week.

I hope so, would hate to have to ship it out.

Thanks
John

I would run the heck out of the V2 except it is snowing like crazy tonight. Feels like I pissed of Mother Nature. I am gonna smack that B***h.

Anyway, I will do some running if the streets dry. Wish me luck on my V2.
Guess that answers my question???
