I read it a little but got bored by page 3. I don't race so I don't really care too much in the end. Personally I think the whole racing scene is too damn anal which is why I don't race. I thought I might have an interest in SCT until it started getting like that too, long before I could even purchase one.

This is why I like crawling and scale competitions. Basic guideline rules without all the anal technicalities. Some of the G8 and scale events have gotten too techical but my local club isn't like that. In crawler comp there are wheelbase and tire size limits and some other things but it's pretty cut and dry. Plus people are friendly and much more benevolent with sharing their setups and helping others setup their rigs correctly as well.

I am in this hobby for fun, even in comps I really could care less if someone cheats. Usually they don't even realize they are cheating and it was really innocent to begin with. I have plenty of my life to be technical and anal about, RC is not one of those areas.

When I first got back in to RC 10.5 years ago I went to local tracks to see what was happening. People were so uptight it just turned me off. If you asked technical questions and/or questions about what they were running or how they were setup you either got ignored and told no. It's a freaking toy car here.

Anyway, those are my opinions and feelings for whatever it's worth.
