Yeah, I thought about using a dremel to cut the jacket in half. I just might overdo it and ruin the motor. I'll give it a try.

Like Brian was saying, there may be so much glue in between the cooling sleeve and motor can that it will never come off, or even with a dremel it may fight you the whole way.

Does your application have enough room to just leave it on? It won't hurt anything.

Go slow and start from the middle where there is gap for the water...

Maybe at the end just before you cut the watercooler, use (not so much aggressive) hand saw and go slow so you dont hurt the motor can.
