Actually now I'm in doubt whether you are correct that the old tranny would fit.... But if it is the case, why would FLM build a chassis to fit the old tranny?

A lot of us with Gmaxx chassis's, still have the old tranny. I got one with a Gmaxx half conversion

Ahh no I now can't decide if I want this or the original flm chassis
