I've made a little progress, it's slow going though right now. My busy season is coming up and the new baby is keeping me busy! :)

Made some shock mounts:

Rear bulkhead and chassis support plates:

Finally bought an esc as well, jive 120hv

What are some opinions on using one of these for the motor? Nice and secure it seems. It also looks like the rcm universal diff/motor mount is back in stock.
Anyone know if the rcm mount will accept m4 motor screws and the 1527 motor?

Can't wait to see your truck in action.

I have 2 motor mounts that I bought that is somewhat like the one in the link, but I think the RC-Monster center mount might be a better option. Make a thread here (http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6) regarding your questions for the center motor mount and I'm sure that Mike will help you make your truck a solid machine.

Finally got to drive it, only for a few minutes, right as I was getting ready to take a quick video the steering broke, completely random but an easy fix, no video though. I need to adjust the suspension I think, it felt very unstable under hard acceleration, like the torque was twisting it and making it pull to the side.

RTR Weight w/ big joe tires & 10s 4000mah = exactly 19 lbs. not too bad I think, although its not light when you're carying it around. :)
It will be a lb or so heavier with the gst wheels I think.

Currently geared for 48mph, 55mph w/ tire ballooning.

Motor and esc (schulze 40.160) seemed to stay cool during the limited test.

A couple little clips. Stayed cool, batteries, esc and motor all only got barely warm, guessing 100 degrees
Center diff was the warmest thing I think :) it has the 1,000,000 weight stuff in it, works well at transferring power for about 2 minutes then it gets hot and hello pizza cutters.
