Brushless T-Maxx - 04.27.2012, 01:07 AM

Switch my T-Maxx over to brushless put a 60amp ESC and a 6000Kv motor in it. I now know my motor and esc choice was way off... Looking to get a 550 ( 1/8 ) scale motor and a 120-150 amp ecs. But what Kv should I be looking for? For the gearing I'm running a 74t spur what ball park pinion size should I try? When running the 6000Kv motor it hauled A$$ then the esc would over temp. I'm really liking the Brushless but need to get the right set up. I'm running 2.2 tires, 3s battery, and the wrong motor set up...

Thanks J.

Just pick yourself up a CC combo (ESC/motor) setup. The MMM and chose teh KV based on what you plan to use the vehicle for (bashing or racing, or high speed runs).

Hi. A 150A esc & a 2200kv motor should be about right for a Maxx. Thats what I've got in my summit :)

Thanks for the replys, I'm new to the brushless setups I can't believe the power they put out. I'll look for a 150a and a motor around 2200.

Thanks again J.
