Hybrid, electric cars and any other EV vehicle have the same thing. DC power underneath and/or around you. Doesn't matter if it's lipo, lead acid, life, lithium iron etc. Anything can go wrong. Even modern cars still catch fire under the right circumstances. Motorcycles have their gas tanks under and in front your jewels. That is just as dangerous as me keeping my batteries inside the frame of the bike.

Yikes, how many connectors do you have for your ebike snell for you have done that. Good thing nothing else was damaged or anyone seriously hurt for that matter.
