Forgot to add that the esc is very smooth, much smoother than the MMM I had in the lst2 and the one in the e-revo. Handles well, needs thicker shock oil and really needs some diff fluid. Over all Im happy with the the truck so far, just not used to having an rc truck with dog bones and super cheap bushings and bearings. Though these are thing I am going to change when money is in more quantity in the bank(well just ordered the bearing replacments)
The chassis is rigid and feels very solid. Dont see any reason to upgrade it since Im only bashing it!!!

Any update on this truck? My buddy is looking for a new truck and we were looking at this. Seems like a pretty good deal for the money.

Who is the ESC and motor made by?

Thanks,
Nick

Its a hobbywing esc and motor.

I have been having a blast with this truck. Picked up some race tires and been running on a track to get practive. I have a 130ftx70ft open area and going to make another track. Cant wait. Got one pile of clay already and getting 2 more next week. Hopefully will have the black flex pipe in a month. My brother has one of the trophy trucks on order and is also going to get a set of race tires to race against me and another friend of ours. (we had to do our own track as the local ones dont race truggies)

Wow i haven't been on here for awhile! I'm still considering getting this truck since i just got a new job, first i have to take care of some bills... @E-fanatic I'm a hardcore basher, do u think this truck can hold up to the abuse I might also start fooling around at the local track do you think this truck is worth money??

I am mostly a basher too. This truck with a few cheap upgrades has been SOLID. I installed the hardened steel diff gears ($10 per diff) and installed the 3.5mm shock shafts in the rear. Other than that this thing has taken a beating and come out unscathed.
Now I have done other upgrades too but none that are structural.

FYI - I actually have a fair sized box of Lightning and Lightning stadium parts, as I used to race the truck when it came onto the scene. I have lots of diff parts(cups, hardened gears, drive cups, etc.), along with shocks and misc. spare parts, etc. - drop me an email or PM if you have a need and I may have the parts available. :-)

I have been bashing my LSP for years now, been through 2 different chassis designs and made lots of mods over the years, its a good tough truck.

current chassis:

Made some heavy duty braces that are attached to the chassis as well as the gearbox

Also running kyosho front C hubs with CRT knuckles, these have the T nuts which you can secure with lock nuts on the outside, LST cvds also.
