Should I? castle 1717 heli motor 6mm shaft - 11.13.2014, 08:19 PM

Just won 1717 motor green can 1500kv but it is for a heli with 6mm shaft how do I make it work or is it even worth it (for xxl2 lst)

Could of choices

- 6mm mod 1 pinions
- 8mm mod 1 pinions and bore reducer
- grind shaft to 5mm (search and a couple of posts on how to do this)

There's sum holes in it for helis.
Should i plug or leave open just gunna run through grass and cement
If I should plug em up what is the best way

Also what material pinion should I get I kno 25t is what is everyone runs but what is a strong material

I used the alum tape from pipe ductwork to cover up mine.

arct1k have u used the 8mm mod1 with bore reducer (does it hold up well on 6s)? i could not find 6mm n e where
