Brushless EMaxx Spur gear question - 04.08.2006, 07:55 PM

What is everyone using after they strip their spur gear? My stripped on second run. I know the mesh was correct. This happens everytime I upgrade anything to brushless. I always have to either upgrade the differentials and stock spur gears to after market everything.

The Feigao 8L on 12 cells using the BK-Warrior 9918 Brushless ESC. Hads loads of power and very fun to run. Just stripped the spur.

You need a strobe slipper. It's a 1/8 setup. Mike has what you need if the strobe's came in. They have been on backorder. You will need a ONFA 51 tooth spur and the strobe setup. It's easy to put on. Good luck.

If you can't wait for the strobes to come in, the Robinson Racing Double Disc Slipper Kits are a decent alternative.

I'm currently running that on a 9918/9L combo and it's worked fine.
Either way, stick with plastic spur gears...

Ive been running on 14-16 cells on a 10l and my spur is still fine.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Yeah, just try to tighten it as hard as you can, set the mesh perfectly, and if it still strips than you need mod1 .
