The digital piranha has been great for me. Just got a 977 so I can charge both of my packs at the same time though!
But yeah..the digital piranha is $50. Only thing is that if you want to charge higher than 3Amps, you'll need a power supply... |

My vote is for the Superbrain 959. As stated, it charges up to 8 cells, and does go up to 4.5A: charge current range: 0.5A to 4.5A in 0.5A increments. I've made several adaptors so it charges pretty much all batteries in my house now - very useful!
