It actually sounds like a loose connection. I have had the same thing happen with my 9920. What happend was that there was a bad connection that didn't appear to be bad. It was on the motor and the shrink tube I had on it made it seems as though there wasn't a bad connection because I could tug on it and it wouldn't give, but pulling a little harder discovered it. Cured the problem. The reason mine was still beeping was because it made a slight connection but not enough for it to move the motor. Check you connections....
