I am running a 7xl with a Quark 125 and it gets very hot very quickly. The 7xl is hotter than the 9 or 10 but you will still need a fan or heat sink or in my case both if you are going to race it. The Quark is a very nice smooth as butter controller but the case just doesnt dissapate enough heat (no fins?)to keep it cool. If you are just bashing or running 5 minute heats you can get away with it, maybe.
If you use Lipos it will add even more heat (high amps 60-80 vs 30-40 for nihm)

Aside from the heat of the Quark, how do you like it? Does it program ok? Can you program by pc or just by the button? Does the reverse function ok? I'd really like to get an honest opinion before I buy. I'm looking for EVX behavior but with a brushless system.
