FLM Combo bulk question - 07.21.2006, 04:48 PM

I just recieved my combo bulks from Mike. They look sweet. I have 2 questions though. What size bearings do they take, and what are the holes for that are on the side by where the bulks attach to the chassis? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the stock bearings will fit. As for "what are the hoels for that are on the side by where the bulks attach to the chassis", I think you mean thats where the input shaft goes??

I checked at my lhs and ordered some boka bearings
I think I got 4 6x16 and 4 10x 16. The stockers don't fit. The holes I am referring to are drilled on the side of the bulk (one each side) right past where the two screws that attach each side of the bulk to the chassis. They are at a right angle to the chassis screws and come from the side of the truck.

You need 8X16X5 bearings, pressuming you got the 1/8th bulks.

if you got the bulks for the stockers, the stock bearings fit.

Yea, I assumed you got the Combos for the stock gears since it says combos in the top of the thread.

Kinda what I thought but they are right below where they attach to the chassis.

Ok, I have talked to Mike, he said I got the hybrid bulks by mistake. Guess that answers the question about the bearings. I am going to wait and see after I have put the bulks together to see what the other holes are for.
thanks all
