Thanks to Mike and all user of this forum for there knowledge, and feedback, for brushless related issues.
Got the RC bug after driving a friends Christmas E-Maxx. Picked up a E-Maxx for myself, broke a bulkhead, which lead me to all the upgrades.
Converted to the G-Maxx chassis and race suspension, MIP drives, etc..., HV-Maxx for ease of instalation (no soldering) plug and play. The HV was an improvment over the Titans, but is now at Novak for "thermaling" issues.
Went for the Feigo 9L/ Warrior 9918 combo, practiced my soldering, here we go. With the help of this forum, installation was simple, and performance ("wow") is better than the HV-Maxx.
I am geared 17/66. In 1 gear everything is fine. In 2 the only issue is minnor cogging on take off. Would a lower pinion help?
As far as my radio Airtronics MX3 FM, tryed dIfferent freq. and have major glitching issues. Installed a JR XR2I AM runs great and has great range. With the JR 2 channel I loose the 2 speeds. Running with 2nd only will be fine, any suggestions on the minor cogging would be great. Powering with 14 GP 3300, external UBEC.

Nice set-up Joe!

So what did you replace the bulkhead with?

Drop a tooth or so on the pinion and it will take off a bit smoother. Glad you are enjoying the maxx!

Bulk was replaced with a pair from American CNC Machining.
Now I need a new idler gear. I now see the need for steel. Where to get them?

You could also consider buying the 1 speed conversion from G-maxx look here for more info.

The steel idlers are hard to get for now, you can stick with your JR XR2I., with this conversion. and loose some weight with dropping the shifting servo.
