Thanks guys, thaty was the tech info I was looking for. I still have this motor around and was thinking about experimenting with it. I must have missed that info on Novak's site, I'll look again.

Edit:

The 5800 is rated as 5000kv (under load I guess?) while the 3.5 is listed as 10500 kv! It puts out 490W rated, so it must be drawing around 70A. 540 cans supposedly. That also puts the 3.5R at 75,000 rpm @ 7.2V holy.... I bet you could easily run the 8.5 on 3s. If CC does update the software it would be a fun little experiment. It does say the 8.5 does have smaller bearings tho than te velocities, so the 7.5 may be a better canidate (5800 kv).
