Yup, a tad heavier. If you take a stock emaxx, a stock revo, you can tell the difference, but it's really not that much in weight.

my maxx is about 10 lb's RTR with 16 cells.

Actually, with 12 cells, the E-Maxx is heavier in stock from...BUT...an electric Revo is a good bit heavier because of the added weight of the batteries.
